AWAFI MILL Dried Barberries 100g | Zereshk | Persian Barberries | Berberis integerrima

AWAFI MILL Dried Barberries, traditionally known as Zereshk or Persian Barberries, are dried fruits with a naturally deep red colour, wrinkled texture, and distinctive tart, fruity flavour with mild citrus-like notes. Their small berries may vary naturally in size, colour, and texture.

A popular ingredient in Persian cuisine, Dried Barberries are ideal for Zereshk Polo, saffron rice, pilaf, salads, couscous, sauces, chutneys, jams, stuffing, baking, and fruit preparations. Their tangy flavour pairs well with rice, nuts, herbs, and aromatic spices.

Before use, sort and rinse briefly under cool water, then drain thoroughly. For rice dishes, lightly sauté with butter or oil and a little sugar according to taste.

Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and strong odours.
